The Systems Negotiator Project (SNP)

The systems negotiator project
is funded through the Law Foundation of BC

http://www.lawfoundationbc.org

that works in collaboration with the Integrated Social Services Team of the new Downtown Community Courts located at 211 Gore Street .

Systems Negotiators receive referrals from the Integrated Social Services Team and provide individualized support to the most difficult offenders adjudicated through the Downtown Community Courts. The Systems Negotiators provides a bridge that connects offenders to housing, health, education employment, food, addiction, financial and legal services. The SN project has an educational component intending to provide information to the community about the system within community courts as well as educate offenders about their legal responsibilities and rights. All participants in this pilot project are referred through the DCC probation officers and are supported to access services chosen specifically for their needs.
